Welcome...
Originally, this project of a family tree began upon my return to my hometown of Muncie, Indiana in 2008. With the help of my brother Chris, we began a journey of discovery. We had the idea of publishing a family tree, but unknowingly, as time progressed the size of our tree would make it impossible to present or print. Our original idea was to show family members, including our parents, a tree that showed where we had came from. As the time passed it become an entire website, not only did it encompasses our family tree, but became an entire set of genealogical informational sites -- about our family, our DNA, and our family surnames. It is a work in progress -- and now all contained in a database.
Accumulation of Thirteen Years...
My website is a combination of all my past sites, over the past 13 years, to include all the research, that I have acquired and accumulated. The research has been acquired from numerous internet sources, been verified, where possible -- with a source, to maintain the sites integrity. I do acknowledge that nothing is 100% free from flaws, and appreciates that as one researches backwards into time, facts gets harder to substantiate on family members, dates are difficult to identify or estimate, and other information can become skewed. To the best of my research competence, this is the best information and facts that I have found, and this is how it is being presented. If you believe any of my research is in error, please send me information/corrections via the Corrections and Sources Form listed in the top menu.
For Future Generations...
What is family history? I would define it as a connection from the past to the now, and from now to our descendants' future. It is about who we are, who we are descended from; not just the good, but the bad and all the in-between. The way I think of it, it has taken thousands of loves for you and I to exist today. My site was created to share our family history, memorabilia, photos, and stories, in a digital format, to preserve that knowledge for future descendants. All of the people in our tree have contributed to my family's genetic makeup and personalities. I also have the start of a genetic map from DNA testing provided by my brother Chris and myself. There are thousands of names, all of them are people named in our tree, and all our related to my family. As in Alex Haley's words "there is always so much more to discover - and all so many stories of the ordinary and extraordinay." If there is one thing I have learned by studying my genealogy is...
expect to be amazed by your heritage........
